At The Play Podd we are boosting EARLY INTERVENTION AND BOTTOM TO TOP APPROACHES.

Early
intervention

Early intervention means early detection and treatment. Why early intervention?

A child’s brain has maximum plasticity until the age of 9 years and it grows almost 90%  of its adult size between 0 to 5 years of age. Working on this brain on progress as soon as you suspect sensory, motor or social- emotional challenges is crucial simply because neurons are firing and wiring together every second for all human beings all their lives and more so for young ones. When we are working on this ‘work in progress’ brain gives better results developmentally than later ages in life.

In clinical and developmental contexts, a “Bottom-to-Top” (or Bottom-Up) approach is a specific philosophy. It suggests that before we can tackle high-level thinking or behavioral goals, we must first address the foundational, sensory, and physiological needs.

Think of it like building a house: you don’t pick the wallpaper (top-level goals) until the foundation (bottom-level safety) is poured.

These terms focus on the “Bottom”—the nervous system, safety, and basic stabilization.
