There can be motor coordination difficulties related to tactile and proprioceptive feedbacks in sensory processing disorders (SPD) resulting in clumsiness and apparent behavioural problems like pushing and fighting in schools underneath which are motor co-ordination difficulties.

 

 In lack of appropriate visual perceptual skills and visual motor skills or both, children can have V-M coordination challenges. Along with vision therapy as and when needed, OT has a role in these skills are they are closely related to vestibular (movement) processing as well sensory integration in whole.

 

As we are meeting more and more parents on a daily basis, we have a reason to come up with this diagnosis( just wordwise not an actual medical diagnosis). Sounds interesting right. Sometimes a child is looking very close to a typical child, just showing some behaviour challenges, that might be related to inadequate sensory processing or learning difficulty, difficulty copying from board. We address this niche arena of paediatric practice and have great results in day to day practice. And our clients are benefitting to a great extent.
